  • A Rare 18th Century Caddy Spoon made by the silversmith Richard Jenkins, who was first mentioned in Exeter records in 1764 The hallmark mark is dated 1794-1804, the lack of a date letter and the shape of the duty mark dates this spoon to circa 1796. The spoon is nicely decorated with bright cut engraving on the handle and bowl. There are no repairs or damage, the photographs show use of the bowl edge which is commiserate with age and use. The spoon weighs in the region of 9 grams, the length is 3" and the bowls width is over 1.5".
